I purchased a 2024 Toyota Sienna from this dealership and I am posting this because they have gone completely silent after failing to honor every commitment made during the sale. Read this before you buy from them. Day 1: I drove 3.5 hours from the Dallas area after negotiating a $500 price reduction via text with my salesman. I arrived at 9AM with cashier's checks in hand. Upon inspecting the vehicle, I found a cracked bumper and a broken grill held together with zip ties — damage that had never been disclosed. I was ready to walk away entirely. The sales team assured me that both the bumper AND the grill would be fully repaired, and that they would arrange delivery to Dallas once the repairs were complete. Based on that commitment, and only that commitment, I agreed to move forward. I then sat in that showroom for six hours while they deliberated. Two of those hours were spent waiting on a finance manager who was visibly sitting in his office — I walked in to check on him three separate times. I finally signed paperwork at 2:30PM having lost an entire workday, not the half-day I had planned, and drove 3.5 hours back to Dallas. The van wasn't mine to take — repairs still needed to happen first. Week 2: My salesman texted to say the van was ready but had no formal delivery plan — his idea was an informal trip with a friend, no confirmed date or time. I agreed to make the 4-hour drive to pick it up myself, but only on the condition that the dealership covered my travel expenses. My salesman agreed. That agreement is the only reason I made a second trip. Due to a recent hailstorm, rental car availability in the area was extremely limited. I had to Uber across McKinney just to find one. I drove 4 hours in Friday traffic and arrived at 8PM. What I found was infuriating — only the bumper cover had been replaced. The broken grill with the zip ties had been reinstalled exactly as before. My salesman wasn't even there and had not mentioned he wouldn't be. I have photos of the zip-tied grill from both visits. After confronting the staff, they agreed I would take the van, they would mail me the grill part, I would cover local installation, and they would honor the $200 travel reimbursement already agreed to with my salesman. I accepted and left. That was Friday. I have since sent a formal email to sales management documenting everything. Complete silence. No tracking number for the part. No confirmation on the check. No response whatsoever. I have full documentation — text messages, photos, and receipts. This is the worst vehicle purchase experience of my life. Do not buy from this dealership.

I wasn’t even able to have my hands on the truck and the window was closed since it was in their shop past 6 days. Seemed kind of fishy to me think they would stand by that grace period no commitment deal once you leave the dealership since I had no control over it?

I completed a purchase of a preowned vehicle that I found online. While the sale went through, everything was fine. My vehicle was with the dealership for approximately 11 days. I hired A transport company to deliver my vehicle and specifically asked the salesman to ensure the interior be cleaned before the vehicle was loaded for transport. I was obviously assured it would be cleaned once I pressed the salesman to do so after he gave me the run around that it had not gotten cleaned because it was raining. I stated the rain is not an excuse to not clean the interior. I once again was assured it was going to be cleaned. My vehicle was finally delivered and was shocked to find the vehicle did not have any temporary tags, that it has a a deep scratch where paint came off and the interior filthy. It was so upsetting to realize that since I was not present for the pickup, I was not given the same courtesy provided to in person customers. The interior has a funky scent due to lack of cleaning, the carpet has crumbs, dirt, dog hair, stains that were not disclosed and spills and fingerprints everywhere which are very noticeable. I contacted the dealership Immediately and was just being transferred around. A sales manager finally got back to me and after explaining the situation I was told he would get back to me to see what the could do, seriously? I am still waiting for a call back on my temp tags, copies of the vehicle paperwork I signed, my $500 refund for a hold I had placed on the vehicle and a resolution to dissatisfaction of the interior of the vehicle along with the deep scratch to the pant that was never disclosed to me. I would not recommend purchasing from this dealership online/over the phone, as it is obvious that the same customer care is not provided to those who don’t shop on person.

I told my salesman that I wanted a 2025 Hybrid Grand
I told my salesman that I wanted a 2025 Hybrid Grand Highlander with running boards because my spouse needs them to get into the car. They didn’t have one on the lot, so he ordered it. He did not order the car I wanted. He ordered a 2026 Hybrid Grand Highlander without running boards. A manager agreed to install them at no cost to me. They said they’d detail the car before I drove it home but it was not really “detailed”. The manager sends out an email to potential new customers that you can contact him if you need help with your purchase. The phone number he gives is not a working number and he’s too busy to talk to you. They said they’d give me a loaner car for the day when I dropped the car off to have the windows tinted. The service person walked me over to an Enterprise Rental Car and they gave me a tiny Jetta and said it had 1/4 tank of gas. This car’s windshield was so dirty that it was hard to see clearly. Usually a dealership gives you a similar car to the one you have. I would not recommend this dealership. I regret buying my car from them.

I bought a car, and less than two weeks later, the "check engine" light came on. Despite my warranty, they were unable to fix it and instead suggested that I trade the car in. I requested a full initial diagnostic—including a printed OBD-II report containing the readiness monitor status, freeze-frame data, and all stored and pending fault codes—but they told me they could not provide that document. The car's front tires were supposed to be replaced at the time of signing the contract because they were completely bald. When I went in for the appointment, they took the worn front tires and moved them to the rear, while installing completely low-grade tires on the front axle. The rear tires—which were actually in very good condition—were removed; I only realized this once I got home. When I returned to address the issue, Mr. Shön responded defensively instead of listening to the customer. And the best part: They set up my car insurance through Progressive, I received a cancellation notice three weeks later informing me that my policy had been processed by an unauthorized agent or broker... If you like peace and transparency don't go there. If you like headaches... you can go...... I'm very disappointed

I purchased a 2025 Crown with 9690 miles on it. I found the car on Wednesday and purchased it on Thursday. I did not finance through Toyota. I had a check in hand. After negotiating for over an hour of them trying to get me to finance with Toyota, a price was set and I was to return on Thursday to pick up the car and give my money. The salesperson (Alton) called me on Thursday to ensure I would be there around 3 to pick up the car. I asked him to have the car clean and the paperwork ready for me to sign. I got there and the car was still sitting in the spot I had left it. Although they confirmed I would be there as to not waste their time or be with another customer, I took off work early to appease every one. TWO AND A HALF HOURS LATER, I drove off. AFTER I signed the paperwork and they brought my still dirty car around, Alton proceeded to tell me there was only ONE FOB for the car and there were NO FLOORMATS which the description of the car clearly had the floor mat package. I have contacted them twice about this…first reply was they were off, second contact was trying to give me old 2024 floor mats!! I paid a lot of money for this car to not get new floor mats replaced and another fob for the vehicle. I asked for a manager before I left to discuss the floor mats and they called the salesman instead!! This is not my first Toyota, but my first from Toyota of North Austin and my last from this dealership. I have dealt with Toyota a lot in my lifetime and never been treated like this!! Finance was rude for only signing papers and giving them a check.

I looked at the dealer website for the exact models I was looking at and I had the numbers for both models in 30 minutes WITHOUT having to be there. Please save yourself the time and money and avoid this dealership like the plague. I recently purchased a used vehicle here and immediately had it inspected from an unbiased 3rd party. To my dismay, there was almost $6k worth of issues that needed to be addressed. Here is a list of items that were wrong… - metal to metal brake pads - 4 bald tires - deteriorating motor mounts - engine hose leaks - no clutch fluid - bad brake fluid - worn serpentine belt This isn’t even the entire list! When I brought this to the dealers attention, I was completely shut down. They just kept saying that there was nothing wrong with the car and that I was essentially being lied to by Honda. I had video evidence showcasing the deteriorating motor mounts, as well as the 2mm brake pads, worn serpentine belt, and engine leaks. Clearly that wasn’t enough for them… This has got to be the worst dealership that I have ever worked with! Rather than fix their mistake, they would prefer to screw over a paying customer. It’s absolutely insane that they wouldn’t address safety concerns and just admit to having sold a car that needed work done before it should have ever left the lot. Now I have a car that I don’t feel safe to drive unless I dump a bunch of money into it that I shouldn’t have to. This place deserves negative stars and I wish that I could give them that. I hope that I at least save one person from making the mistake of purchasing from here. No one should have to go through this. Update** After being told to reach out to the preowned Manager, this is the useless response that I received… Dear Buyer, “Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns regarding your vehicle purchase from Toyota of North Austin. I understand your frustration with the condition of the vehicle upon purchase, especially regarding the rear brakes. Our team has thoroughly inspected the vehicle in question after it was brought back. We found that the vehicle is in normal working condition for its age and mileage, and all systems are functioning as expected. While we strive to ensure that all our vehicles meet our standards before they leave our lot, we must respectfully decline to perform any additional work on this vehicle. We appreciate your understanding that with used vehicles, conditions can vary based on their history and wear. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope you continue to enjoy your vehicle. Your hollow statement about how you “wouldn’t sell a car you wouldn’t give to your [insert every relative and battle buddy under the sun]” is not just laughable—it’s insulting. Let’s be honest: you didn’t just push—you pressured, manipulated, and yelled at me and my wife. You tried to intimidate us into buying a vehicle that your dealership clearly knew was in poor condition. That’s not salesmanship—that’s predatory behavior. You are an embarrassment to the profession and a shining example of why used car salesmen have the reputation they do. Your actions have permanently branded Toyota of North Austin as a dishonest operation in my mind—a con job hiding behind a corporate logo. Thankfully, I had the foresight to purchase the extended warranty—something I now fully expect to need. And rest assured, I will never set foot in your dealership again. In fact, I’ll be steering clear of all Group 1 Automotive locations—because if your conduct is any indication of how they operate, then the whole organization is a plague on the industry. You should be ashamed.
